Latest Information on Royal Show Equine Programme

The Royal Show has announced further information about its equine programme for this year’s event. This will be the 160th and last Royal Show. However, the organiser, the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) , report that this will be one of the most successful shows of recent years, and have already announced a number of new classes for the equestrian event. At the same time ticket sales are up 55% on this time last year.

As well as a full equestrian programme ranging from show jumping to heavy horses, and entertainment including stunt riding from Rockin’ Horse, this year’s event will include the Parelli Zone. This will feature a variety of activities including seminars and demonstrations on Natural Horsemanship and the Parelli Training methods.

Sue Shoemark of Parelli said: “The Parelli method has a massive global following and allows horse lovers to achieve success with their equines without force, dominance or fear. Pat Parelli and his wife Linda have been spreading the word for many years with the aim of helping owners develop remarkable relationships with their horses and ponies.”

Royal Show organiser RASE has also announced the details of a sponsorship by Belvoir Bed which will be supply bedding for horses at the Show. Lisa Cooper of Belvoir Bed said: “We are really happy to be able to support a show with such prestige and history – it represents the traditional values that Belvoir Bed holds. The show draws in fantastic crowds and a high level of competitor, so we are really looking forward to attending the show and receiving feedback on the product.”

Sarah Deeming, Royal Livestock and Equine Manager, said: “This year’s show will be a great celebration of all that the Royal Show has done over the past 160 years, and the equine section of the show will be no exception. We are confident that we will have excellent competitions in all areas including our new classes. We are delighted that companies like Belvoir Bed and Parelli are lending their support to the show.”

Ticket offers are still available for early bird booking, including discount packages for families, students, groups and concessions. In addition, entry to the show is free for children under five.
