Show are delighted to announce the launch of a unique photography competition
offering readers of Archant Life titles the chance to win one of four Casio
EX-FH20 cameras (RRP £499 each).
Competition details
The theme of the competition is ‘Food, Farming and Rural Life’ in celebration of the Royal Show’s position as the UK’s leading agricultural show. You are invited to submit a photograph taken within the county, plus accompanying caption, which demonstrates their individual interpretation of this topic. Perhaps you consider livestock to epitomise the industry as a whole or believe that an artfully constructed food picture perfectly summarises the ultimate, final link in the plot to pot chain…we look forward to receiving your entries!

How to enter
Photographs must be portrait and taken on a six or more megapixel camera; or if film or transparency, scanned up to 20MB. All images must either be submitted on a CD to Warwickshire Life Photography Competition, Archant House, Oriel Road, Cheltenham, GL50 1BB, or by email to competitions@warwickshirelife.co.uk in high quality .tif or .jpg format with a minimum height of 30cm (12 inches).
Please ensure your name, address and telephone number are included, as well as the location of the photograph. The closing date for entries is 15th May 2009. All entries must be your own original work. This competition is not open to employees of Archant, RASE or Casio, or any professional freelance photographers who work/have previously worked with Warwickshire Life. Throughout the competition as many photos as possible will be uploaded onto the websites of Warwickshire Life and The Royal Show, so both companies reserve the right to use and publish any entries for promotional purposes.

The judging panel will select three finalists from each county. The shortlisted photographs will be exhibited at The Royal Show. The 12 finalists will be invited to attend the Royal Show, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, between 7 & 10 July to view their photographs and for the announcement of the final winners (one from each county). The winner from each county will receive a Casio EX-FH20 camera and a 12-month subscription to Warwickshire Life. All entries will be kept on file for consideration for publication in the magazine or as a front cover - seasonality permitting and subject to the editor’s discretion.
